Formation of Nitrogen Oxides and Their Influence on the Decay of Ozone Layer

Abstract

The paper concerns in the first part mechanisms of the formation of individual nitrogen oxides, i.e. nitrogen monoxide N2O, nitrogen oxide NO, and nitrogen dioxide NO2. In the second part, the mechanism of formation and ecomposition of stratospheric ozone is described and the importance of stratospheric ozone is discussed.
